Ebonite, black diamonds, silver, steel
2014
My hand slipped while making a baby face with nice full cheeks. I decided to continue and the result is sophisticated. The piece also has a blowhole in the back to inhale if more air is needed.
The piece is a part of the series Mites of Darkness for Estonian-Australian exhibition Words & Works from a World Away.
Things happen in the dark. The sooner it gets dark the sooner the scuttling begins and things get lively, because there is still so much to do. The night hours pay double. Only those who have nothing to do are afraid, and that is precisely why they are afraid.
